Dorian Bilak has been involved in the real estate industry since 1986 and is part of the third generation in his family working full time in the real estate industry. He is a licensed California Broker and holds designations as a Certified Shopping Center Management designation (CSM) and as a Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX) through the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
Mr. Bilak began his career in real estate as a site inspector and assistant property manager. Since that time, he has worked in asset management, property acquisition, construction, mortgage brokerage and loan management. He oversees construction and development for several companies. Mr. Bilak has overseen the management, maintenance and leasing of over 3 million square feet of retail property and has supervised all tenant build-out and new construction for those projects.
Mr. Bilak is currently an officer of various Real Estate Companies and the President of Bilak Enterprises, Inc., a company devoted to the management, creative repositioning and revitalization of antiquated commercial properties and the development of new ground-up construction. In 2010, he started Bilak Enterprises Residential, Inc. to take advantage of opportunities in distressed residential properties. In 2011, Mr. Bilak and Scott Kramer started Bilak & Kramer Capital, Inc., a full service commercial mortgage and capital advisor.
Mr. Bilak also works with several non-profit organizations and provides routine advice on financial planning and facility related issues. He is on the Board of Directors of of the Los Angeles Intercommunity Kollel (LINK) and has served as Treasurer and House Vice President for the Westwood Kehilla Synagogue. He was also on the Board of Directors Shalhevet High School and Elementary School where he serves as Chair of the Finance Committee and as a Vice President. In addition, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Temple of the Arts at the Saban Theater. He is also a current and founding member of Bound Angels. A foundation devoted to the prevention of cruelty to animals.
In addition to his work in the real estate industry, Mr. Bilak also worked as the Senior Instructor at The International Academy of Martial Arts. Mr. Bilak has taught Goh Ha Ryu in the United States and Europe and is frequently involved in Martial Arts demonstrations and seminars. Through his involvement in Martial Arts, Mr. Bilak is also involved in teaching Security Awareness Seminars and has worked with law enforcement and security personnel on the application of effective safety procedures for individuals as well as for facilities and public environments. Mr. Bilak is also an avid scuba diver with commercial certification as a PADI Dive Master and NAUI Scuba Instructor.
Mr. Bilak resides in Beverly Hills, California with his wife Frances and their two children, Michael and Madeline.
